Luis Eduardo Carvajal Restrepo
Luis Eduardo Carvajal Restrepo was given by his father the possibility to be a shareholder of Compañía Nacional de Chocolates, as well as the legacy of deeply loving a company that contributes economic stability to the present and the future of his family.
Luis Eduardo was still a teenager when he attended a shareholders assembly for the first time. To get to the Nutibara Hotel, downtown Medellín, his father prepared him by buying him a suit, shoes and a tie, and by telling him about what Compañía Nacional de Chocolates was back in the seventies. This yearly appointment became a ritual for analyzing together the progress of their stock.
In 2001, Luis Eduardo attended the assembly alone for the first time, with the demise of his father, he took on the leadership in this important matter. He still affectionately keeps memories of this tradition in a folder, with documents dating back to 1937 that reflect the solid growth of the Company through time. The trust that Compañía Nacional de Chocolates inspires in Luis Eduardo motivates him to keep taking care of this relationship so that, in the future, his children also become part of this family that Grupo Nutresa represents for him.
